The Calendar

There are 24 hours in a day and 7 days in a week. There are 14 days in a season and there are 4 seasons.

Use your Calendar to check the current day.

Goddess Days are always on Days 7 and 14, so use a Goddess Statue on those days to get a Blessing for that week.

Keep an eye on the Calendar for Events and NPC Birthdays. You wouldn't want to miss out on things like Animal Racing, Animal Auction, Goods Market or the annual Competitions.

Telling the time

You can pick a Dandelion to tell the time, and after the Prologue can gain a better clock if you so choose. Children fall asleep at 11pm and wake at 6am as a minimum. Adults can sleep and wake at any time.

Routines

NPC's have routines depending on their type. A shop owner, for example, will wake at 6am and eat, then head to work to open at 9am. They will close at 6pm and go home for dinner, relax and then usually go to bed. Some NPCs go shopping, some garden or walk around. Each routine is a 3-hour chunk of time.

When you have a family, you can set their routines using the Family Scheduler.

Death

The player will automatically pass on the Kynseed at age 50. You will then be offered an heir to choose from. If you have none, an orphan will be offered.

Dying in combat or to certain folklore creatures results in 1-year life tax, taken at the year's end. You have a few chances in combat before this year is deducted, though. Items bought from Mr Fairweather have a life cost, again taken as a year-end tax.

At the end of the year, Mr Fairweather will take any life owed and you will age up and start the next year at the relevant age.
