Briar is a wintry wasteland of a Fae realm. It is eternally winter there, and only the howling of the bleak winds can be heard, unless you listen closely to hear the groans of lost souls and the whispers of the dead from the brambles.

Mr Fairweather has such a character with whom he interacts, called Mr Hawthorn, who is a giant humanoid Fox version of Mr Fairweather.
 
Mr Hawthorn enjoys smoking his pipe and sitting by his fire watching worlds burn in the coals.
