Summary
You can puchase and befriend several different types of animals. Some magical and some more traditonal.
Whilst most animals don't require a huge amount of upkeep, you'll want to make sure you pop back to the farm every once in a while to feed them. A happy animal is a useful animal. As they have a varity of uses that you can take advantage off but only if they're in a good mood.
Use the Whistle menu to keep tabs on your pets. Where they are, how hungry they feel and if they're in a good mood or not. You can also use the whistle to instantly call or send away any one of your active pets.
Keep your animals well feed and pet them regularly to keep their mood topped up
