Naida is one of seventy-seven children born to Sachullus, Old God of Festivities and Itani, Goddess of Fertility.
Sachullus had an insatiable appetite for merriment and pleasure, and no time for the offspring his wife Itani bore.
Itani's power drained, the more children she had, until she could bear no more after her 76th and 77th children, the twins Naida and Suclus.
It is said that Itani went away to sleep in the depths of the universe, taking all her children with her, save for the baby twins.
Sachullus was eventually killed from having too much pleasure. Died happy, I guess.
The twins were taken in by the Fae Goddess, Mellenia, and groomed to be successors. Naida never took her duties seriously though. The spirit of their parents grew in them. Hyalis chose Naida to be elevated as a Goddess and Suclus became the Spirit of merriment, a role he rather enjoyed as it meant much more drinking and way less admin.
